Gardaí appeal for witnesses after a motorcyclist dies in Westmeath crash

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash in County Westmeath.

It happened at around twenty past-three yesterday afternoon on the N4 at Ballinalack near Mullingar.

The man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place while Forensic Collision Investigators examine the site of the crash.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N4 in the Ballinalack area between 3pm and 3:30pm yesterday are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
