Investigations are ongoing and Gardai are not releasing any of the victims' details
Gardaí have confirmed that ten people are now confirmed dead following yesterday's explosion in Creeslough, Co Donegal.
A multi-agency emergency services operation has been continuing throughout the night and this morning at the scene.
Eight people have also been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with injuries.
It's thought the blast came from an apartment attached to the garage - trapping many people underneath rubble.
Investigations are ongoing and Gardai are not releasing any of the victims' details.
President Michael D Higgins has expressed his 'shock' at the tragic circumstances in Co Donegal.
"All of our thoughts must go out to all of those who have been affected. Those who have received news of the loss of a loved one, those injured and, most of all, those who are waiting with anxiety for news of their loved ones.
"This tragedy is a terrible blow to a community that is closely knit and where every loss and injury will be felt by every member of the community and far beyond."
The President paid a 'special tribute' to members of the local community and emergency services who are attending the scene.
