''Ronan and Christopher, hand yourselves in to the police service of Northern Ireland.''

Police investigating the deaths of 39 people found in a lorry in Essex say they've spoken to one of two wanted brothers on the phone.

And investigators are urging the pair to hand themselves in.

Officers believe Ronan and Christopher Hughes from Armagh are in Northern Ireland, but say they have links to the Republic of Ireland.

They say they've spoken to one of two wanted brothers on the phone.

Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Stoten made a public appeal to the brothers today:

''They are wanted on suspicion of manslaughter and human trafficking, I want to make a direct appeal,'' he told press.

''Ronan and Christopher, hand yourselves in to the police service of Northern Ireland we need you both to come forward and assist this investigation.''
