There are calls for more electricity credits this winter.
The Government is facing pressure from one of its own senators to provide more electricity credits in the Budget.
Last year saw every household receive 600 euro worth of credit to help with rising costs.
The measure looks set to be brought back again, although it is not clear how many credits there will be.
Fine Gael's Maria Byrne is calling for at least three more 200 euro credits to be delivered this winter.
Senator Byrne thinks the cost of living crisis is still too dire not to provide short-term help:
'So many families have suffered greatly you know, because of the price increase and all these utility bills.'
'I do believe you know, once the prices start to come down, yes it can be phased out.'
'This year every family and every house hold should receive three energy credits at least.'
