Drug dealing, racial attacks and assaults are happening on a daily basis on public transport.
That's according to staff in the sector, who say they've seen an increase in abuse and anti-social behaviour since the pandemic.
It follows a SIPTU survey, with over 80 per cent of respondents saying they've suffered abuse.
Alan O'Brien, a Revenue protection officer on the Luas, says it's become very dangerous.
" I myself was badly assaulted on New Year's Eve a couple years ago, five guys just really badly assaulted me. Like I got 10 kicks in the head about thirty kicks to the body."
Mr O'Brien explained that it "was a long term injury to my neck over it, you know it just was unfortunate, wrong place, right, wrong time, but it is a daily occurrence."
