Efforts are underway to modernise the driving test.
It has been a decade since the testing curriculum was last reviewed, with concerns it's now out of date.
Minister of State for Road Safety, Jack Chambers, says a new review group is being set up.
It aims to examine any changes that should be made to the driving test process.
Minister Chambers said: "Vehicle technology is changing, road design is changing.
'We've increased driver testing capacity which I know has been a big issue for many young people.
"But we need to make sure that we modernise our driver test curriculum in line with international best practice."
