Gardaí in Co Donegal are trying to track down the family of a man who has been missing since the weekend.
It’s understood the man may have been the victim of a serious assault.
Gardaí have been liaising with police in Northern Ireland in a bid to find the whereabouts of a man who may have been seriously assaulted.
A search for the alleged victim, who's understood to be in his mid sixties and originally from Northern Ireland is continuing today.
At this stage, no one has come forward to report the man as missing, however Gardaí believe he may have been the victim of a serious assault over the weekend.
It's reported they're treating this as a potential murder case.
Slieve league in Co. Donegal remains closed off to the public. It's the fourth day in a row that the popular tourist attraction, which would usually expect to see thousands of visitors each week, has been closed.
