Searches have resumed in a Co. Donegal beauty spot as part of investigations into an alleged assault.
A house in Killybegs was sealed off and a blood stained car is being forensically examined.
Gardaí, the Coast Guard and the Donegal Mountain Rescue team have been conducting searches in the Slieve League / Killybegs area since Monday.
A man and a woman were arrested in connection with a serious assault alleged to have happened on Saturday or Sunday, however they were released without charge last night.
Stephen Maguire, Editor of the Donegal Daily says there are reports it's being treated as a possible murder:
"We have a big search going on, we have all this rumour but yet we have no sufficient evidence to say that a murder investigation will be launched."
"What we do have is a blood stained car and forensics officers examining a house in the Killybegs area."
"Everything leads to a possible murder situation, but the only thing we are missing is a body in this case."
