Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious crash in county Galway.
It's believed to have occurred at around ten past five this morning.
A section of the M6 Westbound motorway has been closed as a result.
Motorists are being asked to avoid Junction 17 Athenry, and Junction 18 to the M17 and M18.
Diversions are in place.
