Pieta, the suicide and self-harm prevention service has taken the decision to postpone their flagship fundraiser 'Darkness into Light' until the Autumn, It was originally scheduled for May 9th.
In a statement released they said:
"In light of the recent COVID-19 developments, Pieta are actively managing and putting the appropriate measures in place to ensure the continuity of our services and protect our staff. It is most important now that we keep our services open and available for our clients.
From Thursday 12th March until the 29th of March, we have implemented phone based support for all clients from Centres and our Helpline.
Please contact your centre https://www.pieta.ie/contact/ to confirm your appointment times with your therapist who will now work with you over the phone. If it is your first time calling a Pieta Centre our therapists will explain how we can support you over the coming weeks"
