A funeral service will take place in Dublin tomorrow, March 14, for former RTÉ broadcaster Charlie Bird.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12 o'clock in the Mansion House.
The legendary journalist died on Monday at the age of 74 after a public battle with motor neuron disease.
Public campaigns
He was diagnosed with the disease in 2021 and spoke openly about his diagnosis while campaigning for a number of charities.
The former broadcaster documented his fundraising efforts and his health on social media, where he often posted updates with his beloved dog Tiger.
In 2022, he climbed Croagh Patrick in Mayo to raise money for charity as part of a campaign titled Climb with Charlie.
He is survived by his wife Claire, his two daughters Orla and Nessa, grandkids Abigail, Charlie, Edward, Harriet and Hugo and his dog Tiger.
