Dublin is also nominated, as well as London and Barcelona
The city of Derry has been nominated in the 2023 World Travel Awards.
They've made the shortlist for Europe's Leading Festival & Event Destination - and it's no surprise as Derry's Halloween Festival is known for it's spectacular show around the country.
They'll compete with the likes of Dublin, London and Barcelona.
Outgoing Mayor of Derry, Sandra Duffy says the city knows how to put on an event:
"So many amazing cities do amazing things, but we know in this city [Derry] as well that we punch way above our weight.
She continued, "The work that we put into our festivals and events is amazing, we have a fantastic team here that go over and above to insure that our festivals and events are world class."
Sandra also explains what it means to be nominated:
"It's amazing that we're getting that recognition on the world stage. The more and more tour buses that pull up, more bed spaces are being filled."
Dublin has also been nominated for Leading City Break Destination, with Dublin's Convention Centre in the running for Europe's top conference centre.
