We cannot wait!
It's been 3 years since we've last seen the Derry Girls on our screens with new episodes.
So, we were delighted when we learned that they were back on set.
Covid-19, among other things, delayed filming a bit which explains the 3 year wait.
Derry Girls is a comedy series set during the Troubles in the early 1990s in Northern Ireland.
It is created and written by Northern Irish writer Lisa McGee.
And stars Galway girl Nicola Coughlan, who also stars in the popular Netflix show Bridgerton.
Ian McElhinney, who plays Granda Joe on the show, spoke to The Belfast Telegraph about their schedule.
And he revealed that shooting will begin on the third and final series of the show at the end of September.
The Belfast actor also said they hope to complete filming of the series in time for Christmas with a view to a Spring 2022 release date.
