There is increased frustration at the governments lack of action.
Irish dentists are intensely frustrated with the governments' lack of action on the massive issues facing the sector.
The Chief Executive of the Irish Dental Association notes 50 per cent of dentists in Ireland have waiting lists of 3 months.
Fintan Hourihan says the medical card scheme has collapsed, with 93 per cent of dentists saying they would not sign up, in its current form.
Speaking from the IDA's annual conference in Kilkenny, Mr. Hourihan says the government is doing absolutely nothing:
'A third of dentists are saying that it's three months before they can be seen for an appointment.'
'We are just so frustrated by the fact we've identified the problems, we've brought forward the solutions, and we're just continuously being told "ye we will do something", but nothing ever gets done.'
