Yes, throuples were referenced in the Dáil yesterday
There was some confusion in the Dáil yesterday when "throuples" were referenced.
It came as politicians debated the referendum wording on "durable relationships" with Minister Roderic O'Gorman saying it would not include throuples (romantic relationships between three people).
The Minister for Children told the Dáil that polygamous relationships do not represent a “moral institution” in Irish law.
The Government has confirmed that two referendums will be held on March 8 – International Women’s Day.
However, the mood in Leinster House changed quickly when Clare TD Michael McNamara picked it up wrong, wondering why truffles were being mentioned:
