Covid-19 hospital admissions are on the rise, according to a HSE Chief.
The head of the HSE, Paul Reid, has said the number of people with Covid-19 in hospital is increasing.
Yesterday, it was reported that 123 patients were hospitalised with the disease. It's an increase of 18 admissions from yesterday.
Out of the 123 admissions, 21 of those are being treated in ICU.
Hospital #COVID19 numbers are rising at 123, 21 in ICU. Positively, now over 5.5M vaccines administered with 83% of adults now partially vaccinated & over 68% fully. As hospitality, society & the economy opens up further, let's all embrace it safely and make it work. @HSELive

Reid and the HSE are urging those to stay safe as the economy and hospitality sector reopens.
Over 80% of the Irish population over 16 years of age have received their first vaccine dose.
The HSE vaccine portal is still open to those over the age of 18.
