A man in his 20s has been arrested.
A man is fighting for his life following a serious assault in Cork City.
The man in his 40s was attacked by another man on Patrick Street at around 9.15pm last night.
He was brought to Mercy University Hospital where he's currently in a critical condition.
Separately, a 19 year old man was seriously injured following an assault on Grand Parade which happened shortly after midnight.
A 20 year old man has been arrested in relation that incident.
