A man in his 50s has dies following a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Clonmeen Cross Road near Rhode Village, County Offaly.
The incident occured today (Friday) at approximately 10:50am.
A male in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene while another male in his 60s was taken to hospital with injuries.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place and Gardaí and Emergency Services are at the scene.
Forensic Crime Scene Investigators are at the scene and the local coroner has been notified.
