Are they going forward? Are they going back? Here's all you need to know.
It's that infamous night that only comes twice a year. The clocks are changing so be prepared.
Tonight they'll go forward, as they usually do in the Springtime. Ireland will follow other EU Member States.
At 01:00 on Sunday 27th March (tomorrow, essentially) the clocks will jump to 02:00 or 2 am.
So it means we'll have an hour less in bed, so if you're grumpy tomorrow, that's completely justified.
It's the terminology of 'Daylight Saving Time' and happens at the end of March and October each year.
A grand aul stretch in the evenings 😆 Here's a friendly reminder to set your clocks forward tonight. pic.twitter.com/2pSqU0LnYC

Under EU law, other countries will follow suit as well as most U.S. states and Canada.
In Australia, the clocks go forward on the first Sunday in April so it'll be a few days before things change there.
The clocks change in order to make the best use of the natural light during the summer months.
It makes for longer evenings and what we now call 'the grand stretch'.
In 2019, the European Parliament voted to scrap Daylight Saving Time completely from 2021.
However, member states can't agree on how this should be executed, so it still hasn't been brought in.
