Thousands of students across Ireland have taken the afternoon off school to call for urgent action on climate change.
They've joined millions of people around the world in demanding more of an effort by governments.

The US, South Africa, Thailand and Germany are among the 139 countries that have held protests today. It's all been inspired by teenage activist Great Thunberg who led the calls for more climate action.
There's been plenty happening in Ireland too as thousands of young people demonstrated in 60 towns and cities.

Climate Action Minister Richard Bruton says he's "heard the voices of those protesting today".
He'll be attending a UN summit on the issue of climate change in New York next week where there'll be pressure on world leaders to do more.
