The government is being urged to consider PCR testing to allow for larger wedding numbers next month.

Cabinet will discuss on Tuesday whether to expand the use of the Digital Covid Cert so up to 100 guests can attend.

The Wedding International Professionals Association and Weddings Online are lobbying the government for answers on the issue.

They say wedding professionals haven't been consulted as ceremonies resumed this year.

Tara Fay, WIPA President, said it's important that couples who plan for larger numbers can welcome them.

The Digital Covid Cert will be used to access indoor dining tomorrow in pubs and restaurants across the country.
