Boris Johnson's efforts to sell his new Brexit plan to Brussels has taken a blow.
EU leaders say they don't' "provide a basis for concluding an agreement" - and talks between the sides this weekend have been postponed.
The British prime minister wants to keep Northern Ireland in the EU single market for goods - but leave the customs union.
It comes as Bonnie Greer says the United Kingdom is caught up in their "finest hour" mentality.

She says the UK believes its in a leadership position and that Ireland is rebelling against that.
