A man in his 20s is being questioned by Gardaí.
A six-week-old baby girl is being treated for serious injuries following an incident at a house in Co Meath.
Gardaí were altered to the incident at a house in Ashbourne at around 7am yesterday.
The baby's injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening injuries and she was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
A woman in her 20s received minor injuries during the incident.
A man, also aged in his 20s, has been arrested and is being questioned at Ashbourne Garda Station.
