A man has drowned and another has survived after a car slipped off a pier on Arranmore Island in Donegal early this morning.
A 26 year old local man, who was the driver, died after becoming trapped inside.
Another man aged 30 managed to escape.
Local reports suggest the men may have been trying to turn the car on the pier when it slipped off shortly after 5am.
The body of the driver has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem will take place tomorrow.
An a full investigation has been launched into the tragedy.
