The 24-hour active listening service supports and offers advice to young people
Childline says they have answered almost 600 calls, texts and online messages from children over the last three days.
The ISPCC says drink and drug abuse were common concerns among children contacting the service on Christmas Day.
Family relationships and mental health concerns were also among the issues raised by young people contacting the service.
The 24-hour active listening service supports and offers advice to those going through a difficult time.
It is one of the services provided by the ISPCC and is available for all young people aged 18 years and younger.
John Church, the CEO of the ISPCC, outlines some of the main concerns from Christmas Day:
"The big issue this year was really family relationships, and that really centred around arguments and family conflicts.
"They would've got worse as the day went on, and children have told us about the impact of alcohol and substance abuse in the home."
The service can be accessed via Live Chat, or via freephone on 1800 666666.
