The HSE is urging every eligible person to get vaccinated urgently, particularly people with long term health conditions and healthcare workers.
There's concerns that the uptake of the vaccines remains low so far.
The Director of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, John Cuddihy, says it's very easy to receive your vaccine.
'It takes about two weeks for the vaccines to take effect so now is the time to act and both the covid and flu vaccines are available free of charge from participating GP's and pharmacies and healthcare workers can also get the vaccines at workplace clinics.'
