A rescue effort's continuing off the County Mayo coast this morning for a man - trapped in a sea-cave overnight.
He was one of two people, cut off by a rising tide yesterday evening.
A group of kayakers who were in the area at the time, brought a woman to safety yesterday evening - but rescuers were unable to reach the man.
He managed to reach a ledge above water at the back of the cave and was continuing to respond to rescuers shining lights into the cave during the night.
Tides are now receding this morning but high swells are continuing to make access to the cave difficult.
Gardai and emergency services have remained at the scene overnight.
And the Ballyglass RNLI Lifeboat is standing by, accompanied by members of the Irish Coast Guard, Civil Defence and local Fire Brigade.
