Gardai are appealing for witnesses

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in County Meath.

His motorbike and a car collided on Old Ross Cross Road in Dunshaughlin at a quarter past 6 yesterday evening.

The man in his 50s was seriously injured and brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he later died.

The man in his 20s driving the car and two passengers - a man and woman weren't hurt.

The Navan to Dunshaughlin Road is still closed this morning at Old Ross Cross as Gardai investigate.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 6pm and 6.45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.Anyone with any information is asked to contact Ashbourne Garda station on 01 801 0600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
