It happened near the Suffolk Road area of the city
A man has been shot dead in a social club in west Belfast.
It's understood the Donegal Celtic Football Club was busy with people watching football on TV this afternoon when the victim was targeted.
The victim was shot by two masked gunmen.
It happened at the social club off the Suffolk Road this afternoon.
The police are at the scene. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it was called at about 14:45 BST.
It said no patients were taken from the scene.
Sinn Féin MP for the area, Paul Maskey, told BBC there is "total shock" in the community following this "uncalled for, unjust" shooting.
He urged anyone with information to come forward and asked for the PSNI be given space to carry out their investigation.
"My thoughts and sympathies are with this man's family," he added.
