Students have a nail-biting wait for the first round of CAO offers for college places this week.

A helpline for Leaving Cert students is busy this weekend taking calls from students waiting for their CAO offers.
The helpline is set up to answer students' queries ahead of Thursday and they have reported brisk business this weekend.
The National Parent's Council Post Primary Leaving Cert helpline is open from 2 pm - 8 pm every day until September 14th, on 1800 265 165.
Career Guidance Councillor Betty McLaughlin said random selection could leave some students without their preferred course:
"It's very hard to second guess these things until 2 o clock on Thursday the 8th when the results come out."
McLaughlin continued that all students will get a place but the fear is for those in niche courses.
They might end up caught out by the inflated grades and random selection as there might not be enough places.
