19-year-old man killed in Donegal crash this morning

A young man has died after the car he was driving crashed in County Donegal.

The crash happened in Kerrykeel shortly after 3.30 this morning when the car collided with a pole on the roadside.

A 19-year-old man who was driving the car has died, and his body has been removed for a post-mortem examination.

Another person, who was in the car, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The R246 road in Ranny remains closed with diversions in place as a technical exam of the scene is carried out.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R246 between Kerrykeel and Milford this morning between 3.00am and 4.00am are asked to contact Gardaí.
