Condolences are being paid from all around the world
Condolences are pouring in around the world after 153 people (56 men and 97 women) were killed in a deadly stampede in South Korea.
The victims are mostly teenagers, attending a Halloween event in the country's capital, Seoul.
The head of the local fire department - Choi Seong-Beom - says they're trying to work out why crowds pushed forward into a narrow alley.
"The cause is under investigation, the accident happened when a large number of people who were participating in the Halloween festival fell down, resulting in many deaths of the participants."
Shocked and saddened by the terrible tragedy in Seoul with at least 146 lives lost and many more injured.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those killed or injured, and all the people of South Korea tonight. https://t.co/hPnED55NY6
