We've another two new bombshells entering the Love Island villa.
Once we find out what Islanders have been dumped, they'll make way for two brand new faces. Footballer Aaron and medical student Priya will hope to make an impact on tonight's show.
Here's all you need to know about them:
Aaron
Aaron Simpson is 24. He's a footballer from Kent and says he has his eye on Chloe or Mary. Here's what he had to say before entering the villa:
What made you want to sign up for Love Island?
I think it’s an amazing opportunity. I’m all about having a good time and hopefully I can leave with a ‘worldie’. I’m definitely looking for a long-lasting relationship. I’ve got all the player stuff out of my system, I’m ready to settle down now.
How would your family and friends describe you?
My family and friends would describe me as a very cheeky chap. Always happy and always laughing. Someone who is the life and soul of the party all the time. A fun person to be around.
You’re a footballer. Tell us about your career.
I started playing when I was about four or five. I signed my first professional contract when I was 17. I’m 24 so it’s been quite a journey.
What do you look for in a romantic partner?
Someone who is family orientated because my family is really important to me. I’m very close to my mum, dad and my sister. I’ve got a massive family so someone that can deal with that. Someone who has a personality who doesn’t rely on me, I’m very confident and I can chat for ages so sometimes it’s probably easy to leave me to do all the talking in certain situations so someone who has a big enough personality to hold their own and put me in my place. Someone who also isn’t too serious as I’m a very spontaneous person.
What is it like dating as a footballer? Does it make things easier or does it stand in the way?
A lot of people have an assumption of me as being a typical player, but I got all of that out of my system when I was younger and now I’m a lot more laid-back when it comes to dating. A lot of people would assume that I go on lots of dates but I’m actually quite picky when it comes to who I date. Sometimes it can be hard to know if someone is genuine or not. My mum is really protective over me. The approval is always needed from mumsy, for sure.
Who have you got your eye on in the Villa?
Personality wise, the person who is most my type is Chloe or Mary at the moment. I haven’t got all my eggs in one basket.
What do you think you’re going to bring to the Villa?
I’m going to bring fun, good energy and positive vibes. I think a couple of the girls' heads will be turning when I go in there.
How do you feel about stepping on toes to get what you want?
I feel like with my personality I won’t do it behind your back. I’ll openly tell you I’m about to steal your girl. That doesn’t really phase me at all. As long as I’m not doing anything snakey or behind your back, I don’t really see the problem.
Are you competitive?
I’m very, very competitive. I always have been, I hate losing.
Who out of the boys do you think you’ll bond with?
I think the person I’ll get along the most with is Toby because we’ve got a lot in common. I think he doesn’t take himself too seriously. I think I’ll get along really well with Liam and Jake as well. I love meeting new people and going out with friends. As much as I love girls, the boy aspect of it as well is going to be really fun.
What is your ideal date?
Probably go for drinks. For a second date I’d always want to do something fun. I’m not really one for fancy dinners. Doing something fun and adventurous like rock climbing or zip wiring. I love doing something that is a bit different.
Who would you say is your celebrity crush?
Margot Robbie or Michelle Keegan.
Priya
Priya Gopaldas is a 23 year-old medical student from London. In the villa, she likes Matthew, Dale and Teddy and says her celebrity crush is ... Boris Johnson. Here's her interview before heading into the villa:
What made you want to sign up for Love Island?
I thought it was a challenge, it’s something different. I’m single and I’m looking for love and I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to take me out of my comfort zone. I’m nearing the end of medical school so I’ve got my career on track, but now I just need a man!
How would your family and friends describe you?
I think they would say I’m overconfident. My go-to dates are always different so there are a couple of places that my friends have been like, ‘As if you would go on a date there’. One of the places is a restaurant where they have insects for dessert. I want someone who is confident in themselves and is able to take themselves out of their comfort zone and do something new every day.
You’re a medical student. Tell us about that.
I’ve been studying for five years now. It’s six years until I qualify as a doctor and the goal is to be an orthopedic surgeon - that is muscles and bones. There aren’t enough women in that area of surgery. I feel like I’d like to go head first into that area and be a representative for women who think orthopedic surgery is male dominated. More women need to be exposed to it and realise they can do it.
I feel like this year in particular has been so intense because of Covid. Our studies were interrupted midway and we were all told if we wanted to we could help out during the pandemic so I was working in ICU for the whole of February. You would come back after every shift exhausted so there definitely wasn’t any time for dating or relationships.
The NHS has been really tough in the ICU with the long hours, but I find it so rewarding and it’s made me really resilient. Being here is good for me because it’s something absolutely different to my job.
What do you think you’ll bring to the Villa?
A little bit of intelligence and maybe some witty humour, some great medical chat and a little bit of weirdness.
Who have you got your eye on in the Villa?
I think Matthew is my type. He’s tall and I like his Irish accent. He seems really intelligent and I think we’ll get on. Also Teddy seems really cheeky and a good laugh and Dale is spicy and attractive!
Are you competitive?
Absolutely. Competition is something I really enjoy, I thrive off it. I went to an all girls school so it was very competitive and I played netball with a team of girls. I’m also a keen runner, I run ultra marathons which is another of my passions. I’ve been around lots of girls before that I’ve been in direct competition with so I’m used to that. I’m ready for the Love Island Villa in terms of competition.
Who is your celebrity crush?
This is a very strange answer but Boris Johnson. I have a soft spot for him. It’s the confidence but he is a total sweetheart on the inside and that’s what I like in a boy. He’s the prime minister, very driven but then on the inside he’s a cuddly bear. I also love his blonde hair, that does it for me!
