According to a new study, what order you come in your family can say a lot about you.

And it's good news for the baby of the clan - as you're the most fun to be around.

Expert Dr Catherine Salmon explained that the youngest child tends to have a more happy-go-lucky attitude because their parents aren't as harsh on them.

They are also more social as they don't have as many responsibilities as their older siblings

Joe.ie report the baby of the family is also known for being more carefree, outgoing, charismatic, and free-spirited.

But, they do get more attention from their parents which means they're spoiled.

Dr Catherine Salmon told Parade that the youngest are also more likely to experiment and take risks.

Meanwhile, if you're the eldest you tend to me more strict, have higher expectations and be more anxious.

Dr Sarah Smelser told Parade that "firstborn children can be goal-orientated, outspoken, stubborn, independent and perfectionistic."

But the oldest in the family looks out for their other siblings being like another parent and they're a bit of a role model too.

If you're stuck in the middle, Dr Salmon says you're "highly invested in getting on well with others" as they have experience negotiating.

From the minute they're born they have to share everything with their older sibling so they never know what it's like to have their parents full attention.
