Are you tired of chatty drivers?
Uber 'Quiet Mode' was something we first heard about because of a meme a few years back. Now they are bringing it into practice. It will give the customer the option to select it on the app, but you can't decide when the car arrives apparently. This means that you won't have to make small talk or answer any possible probing questions, if you don't want to. You can also select on the app a bag option to let the driver know if you are going to be bringing any luggage. There can also now be an 'Extended Pickup Period' where you could ask for a little extra time to get to the car when unexpected delays pop up. You can also request a certain temperature that you'd like to travel in... very fancy.
This seems to be for Uber in America but they will probably bring it over here too after time. The 'Quiet Mode' feature will only be an option for Uber Black and Uber Black SUV customers, which can be two or three times more expensive than a regular Uber. So basically you'll have to pay extra for peace and quiet.
