The rankings were made up of three key criteria areas.
The world’s most dangerous and safest countries for 2020 have been revealed in a new interactive map.
Libya, Somalia, South Sudan and the Central African Republic, all in Africa, are the riskiest places to visit in 2020, according to the Travel Risk Map. Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Andorra and Svalbard all achieved the highest safety marking for all three criteria.
The map is created by global risk experts, International SOS and uses three categories to define how 'dangerous' the country is: Medical, security and road safety.
