Who's up for a career change?
Are you the type of person that stops in their tracks when they see a cute puppy?
If you answered yes there, Guide Dogs has the perfect job for you!
The UK-based charity is hiring for a new Canine Science Assistant. They help those with sight loss live an independent life aided by a dog.
If you manage to land the job, you'll play, look after and cuddle adorable puppies as part of the role. You'll be based in the charity’s National Centre in Leamington Spa - but we reckon it's worth the move.
The successful candidate will be payed £23,173 (approx €27,000) for a 12-month contract to babysit the trainee puppies.
Helen Whiteside, Chief Scientific Officer at Guide Dogs, said:
“As well as providing other services to enhance the lives of people with sight loss, Guide Dogs breeds and trains more than 1,000 dogs every year.
“The Canine Science Assistant will support the development and execution of our vital research into dog behaviour, health and wellbeing. This important role will be centred around the wellbeing of our puppies: getting to know them, interacting, and engaging with them as they grow up into happy, healthy guide dogs.
“We’re excited to see the applications and look forward to offering this dream position to a lucky candidate with exceptional research experience.”
If you’re interested in applying for the position, you can do so on the Guide Dogs Careers page.
You'd want to be quick though! Applications for the job close on Sunday 5th December 2021.
