People called Emma and Matt are officially the stingy friends.
A study carried out in The UK by OnBuy.com examined 3,000 of their customers and asked them who were the biggest spenders and who was a little tighter with the purse strings. Off the back of that research, it compiled a list of the top 10 men and women's names matched with splashing the cash.
They found that Karen and Joshua are more likely to get a round in on a night out.
Their study also took a look at who was more careful with their hard-earned cash and were thus, more likely to hunt down discounts and details where possible. These were the names more likely to be a bit protective of their money:

"We thought it would be fascinating to see which names are synonymous with the top spenders onsite, and also the names of those who are more careful with their money, opting for deals and discounts over full-priced products.
"Who knew there’s such a common parallel with names and shopping habits, there seems to be a lot more to a name than we initially thought."
