Advent calendars are becoming popular for our furry friends
Image via Unsplash.comAlmost 90% of pet owners plan to buy their pets presents this Christmas but one in five are now heading online to treat their furry friends.
The latest data by An Post shows the majority of online purchases are under €100 and include clothes and treats.
Advent calendars are also being added shopping baskets as they become a popular trend this year, according to the An Post eCommerce Index.
MD of An Post Commerce, Garrett Bridgeman says pet-owners are treating their furry friends:
"It was not surprising really but in our last research we've done we've seen there's been a huge increase in people buying pets gifts. One in five of us bought online for our furry friends. I think during the pandemic a lot of people got pets and now we're beginning to spoil them."
