That's all the motivation we need TBH.
There's a pub open in London that lets you pay for pints with the amount of miles you've ran.
The Runaway Pub in Soho has been launched by runners company, New Balance. However, it's not any old pub. Your debit card and cash will be of no use here because you have to pay for pints with the amount of miles you've logged on Strava, the fitness app.
Metro.co.uk reports that New Balance and Strava have teamed up for the initiative and have launched a number of challenges.
When you join the challenge, you'll get a Runaway Card for the pub, which you can then add onto the wallet app on your phone. As you run your miles, your card will also fill up with the number of miles you've completed and they can in turn be exchanged for pints in the pub.
The challenges will be set every month and the first one kicked off on March 2nd. This challenge invites people to run 100 miles in four weeks and for every 25 miles you complete, you can earn yourself two pints.
People can then redeem their much-earned pints every Sunday between March 8th and 29th between midday and 5pm in The Runaway Pub.
It's not like any old pub either. The Runaway Pub also has a retail area where you can kit yourself out in the latest New Balance runners. Meanwhile, the toilets have blank walls where punters are encouraged to leave motivational messages for fellow runners.
There's also an actual gym area downstairs with two treadmills, changing rooms and lockers.
Samantha Matthews, senior marketing manager at New Balance UK and Ireland told Metro more about it:
"We’re delighted to bring The Runaway back for another year"
"We were blown away by the success of the pub last year and we want runners to embrace The Runaway as their community home again this year."
"As a brand, we support runners of all abilities and our passion is to encourage more people to run. The Runaway gives us the perfect call to action to achieve this, after all who doesn’t want to earn themselves a pint."
