The average daily spend in pubs increased by 28 per cent month on month in June and by 12 per cent in Hotels and 7 per cent in restaurants.
Spending in both pubs and restaurants peaked on 24 June, the day of Dublin Pride.
Donegal, Mayo and Laois saw big pub spend increases during the June Bank Holiday weekend with a 20 per cent increase in hotel spend.
The AIB Spend Trend figures revealed a slowdown in people booking airline travel compared to May with those aged 65 and over accounting for the biggest decrease down 10 per cent.
Restaurants had the highest average daily spend increase by customers from Cavan.
Overall average daily spending increased by 4 per cent while spend on groceries increased by 3 per cent.
The data was compiled from 70 million debit and credit card transactions in store and online during June 2023
