Do you dry your clothes on a rack in front of the fireplace, use a dryer or the space on your radiator?

Unless you have a clothesline outside, it costs money no matter what you do.

However, a plumbing expert at PlumbNation who spoke to RSVP Live has given a major money warning to those who dry their clothes by putting them on their radiators in their home.

They explained that while you may be drying your clothes on the radiators, you are also wasting money.

"the clothes that you place over the top of your radiators prevent the heatfrom escaping and heating your room."

Another issue with using your radiators is the health problems it can cause in the long run.

“Similarly, the increase in the air’s moisture can create condensation, leading to potential issues with mould and dampness,” they added.

While radiator covers come in different shapes and sizes, it’s also important to consider if it's beneficial using them.

The PlumbNation expert said: “If you have a radiator cover make sure to check that it is a good conductor of heat."

“Radiator covers made from materials such as wood are poor conductors and canprevent heat from being dispersedeffectively - wasting energy and money."
