A new term but the same old lunch
Are you the type of person to have the same lunch day in day out? Or do you like to vary it up?
With the new school term beginning this week, it's been revealed some old school lunchbox favourites are now considered outdated.
With some schools now dictating what kids have in their lunch box to make their lunch a little healthier - 89% of parents think their child gets a better quality lunch than they did.
Hard-boiled eggs, jam sandwiches, egg sandwiches and packets of raisins are all disappearing from the majority of school lunchboxes.
However, the most popular item in Irish school lunchboxes has been revealed.
The sandwich remains top of the class when it comes to the midday meal for pupils - ham and cheese being the most popular filling.
Research from the Irish Bread Bakers Association has revealed that 42% of parents include a sandwich in their kids' lunchboxes.
