This summer could be your chance as a newsletter in the city is looking for an 'explorer-in-chief'. Downtown Alliance want someone to spend three months living in and discovering what exactly the Big Apple has to offer.
Don't worry, the job description states that there's "no catch". You'll be living people rent-free off Wall Street between June 1st and August 30th 2020 and checking out the local bars, restaurants, nightclubs, cafes, tourist attractions and more.
According to their website, the ideal applicant will have "a camera-ready personality, a keen eye, a distinctive voice and the chops to produce compelling, entertaining content."
"They'll be someone who is charismatic and comfortable as the center of attention but who knows that the location is, ultimately, the star."
As well as living rent-free in one of the most iconic cities in the world, you'll get the chance to do VIP experiences at the likes of the Statue of Liberty and One World Observatory. Plus, you'll get to stay in luxury accommodation the odd time.
Downtown Alliance go on to say:
"Your schedule will be full-time and vary in terms of times of day."
"You might do an excursion late at night, or all day long, maybe even stay up for a sunrise or two. The winner should be up for adventure and excited about exploring Lower Manhattan".
If all that wasn't dreamy enough, you'll be paid $2,250 (€2013) for every two weeks of work. Not bad!
Anyone who's interested must submit a video of 60 seconds or less and complete the application form. Just a heads up - they also expect you to be pretty active on your own social media channels with a public Insta account and the ability to shoot and create interesting videos.
