John Styles believes costs and the recruitment of staff are obstacles
It could be several years before counties outside of Dublin embrace late opening hours, that's according to a nightclub manager.
John Styles believes regional pubs and clubs might not stay open as late due to a lack of demand.
Increased costs, push back from communities and the recruitment of staff are also obstacles he thinks could stop the support.
The Sale of Alcohol Bill could see nightclubs stay open as late as six in the morning.
John says the hospitality sector must be ready to recognise changing habits:
"Will the 19/20 year old now coming up dictate the market in 2 or 3 years. Do they start going out later? Do they go to a restaurant now at 10/11 o'clock and are they having a late night experience into 3 o'clock in the morning, which is what's happening in Dublin and that's predominantly where the revenue is taken."
