That's some dedicated pet-ownership.

A survey of 2,000 dog and cat owners has revealed how much people adore their pets.

According to SWNS Digitial, the survey was conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Figo Pet Insurance.

It found that 59% of particpants would willingly fight another person to save their four-legged friend.

The US survey also found that three out of five people would willingly run into a burning building to save their pet.

While 81% wouldn't think twice before saving their pet from immediate danger.

62% would even describe their animal as their “best friend,” while three in five agreed that their pet was their “soulmate.”

It also revealed that pet owners often search for "similar affirmations of love from their pets as they do from their partners".

And that includes “following them around” (63%), “giving them kisses” (59%) and sleeping in their bed (53%) as the topmost signs of endearment."
