Agree, or disagree?
A mum is causing controversy online with a TikTok video revealing what she calls a "parenting hot take".
Raya Michelle, (username @iamrayamichelle), is explaining how things work in her family.
Basically, she creates a hierarchy of what comes first in her family.
At the top she puts herself, below that is her partner, and that's then followed by her child.
Her reasoning for it is that if her own needs, or her partner's aren't met, they can't care for their child.
"taking care of yourself makes you a better parent" is the video's caption.
Fair point?
Well, not everyone is agreeing...
Some people are quite firmly in disagreement, calling her a "sociopath".
And some say that as "the adult", her kids should always come first.
While others are reflecting on what you're told when you board a plane "parents, please tend to your own masks first".
But, she stands by what she has said, and is ready for a "fight" to back up her point.
