Funny and effective!
It's something plenty of parents struggle with: getting kids to clean their bedrooms.
The constant nagging can feel like it's going nowhere...
That's exactly how one dad felt when he decided to take a new approach.
Taking to Facebook, Chad McHunt shared his new trick to scare his kids into cleaning their bedrooms.
And it seems other parents may take it on board too, as his post got 10,000 likes.
However, we'd imagine that kids will cop on soon if it's going viral...
Either way, we'll share the trickery with you...
In the post he says:
"I threatened that they're going to end up with a mouse in their room that will brings friends to the house... I got tired of singing the same song and decided to teach them a lesson."
"I went to Whole Foods, purchased some black rice and sprinkled it in their closet, under their bed, I even added a few under their covers. It looks like mice droppings and it scared the s**t out of them"
People were really loving it with over 4,000 comments and 88,000 shares!
To be fair, it's not only teenagers this trick would work on.
We reckon it wouldn't be a bad shout to try on a messy housemate or partner??
