If you're having trouble sleeping this viral lettuce tea hack might do the trick

No matter what, if we see a sleeping hack, we're on it.

Sleep is a very beautiful and important thing and it's such a struggle if you are finding it hard to sleep.

There's plenty of tips and tricks out there - such as getting off your phone a while before, playing relaxing music and so on.

But one we haven't heard before has now been going viral on TikTok.

TikTok user Shapla Hoque, username @shapla_11 tested out a certain veg and tea combination.

And she seemed fairly impressed with the results.

And apparently other people are too - as her video has racked up over 7 million views.

She had heard about a sleeping hack where you make lettuce tea essentially.

It's simply enough - it's like making a herbal tea, except with lettuce.

She appeared to get pretty drowsy after so who are we to doubt?

But if you're a bit skeptical, Tyla.com have hit us with some science that might sway you.

They say that studies from 2013 and 2017 have shown a link between lettuce and getting better quality sleep and snoozing for longer.
