Some consumers recorded the phone reaching 40 degrees
iPhone maker Apple is blaming a software bug and issues related to certain apps for causing its new iPhone 15 models to become uncomfortably hot to hold.
The company says it's working on an update to its iOS software, while working with apps that are "causing them to overload the system".
Posts on social media over the past week have documented the new phone heating up to over 40 degrees.
One person found if they used it without a case they couldn't 'even hold it'.
Apple says apps such as Instagram and Uber, along with games such as Asphalt 9, are in the process of rolling out their updates to help fix the issue.
Rumours surrounding the titanium design of the iPhone 15 Pro not helping with the overheating problem have also been shut down.
